    Pegasus Airlines, Turkey's leading budget carrier, is buying 75 planes from Airbus in the biggest commercial order from Turkey ever as the privately owned firm seeks to triple its fleet and tap into a growing market to expand, reported Dow Jones



    China firms to buy stake in Taiwan terminal
    Taiwan's investment committee has approved China's investment of US$135 million to take a 30 percent stake in a container terminal owned and operated by Yang Ming Marine Transport, two sources with direct knowledge of the deal said, reported Reuters.



    CMA CGM Paris IPO by end-2014
    CMA CGM, the world's third-largest container group, plans to list shares on the Paris Stock Exchange to get easier access to financing as low freight rates pressure margins, its deputy chief executive said, reported Reuters.



    Goldenport sells container vessel for $7.5m
    Goldenport Holdings, an international shipping company that owns and operates a fleet of container and dry bulk vessels, has sold the 1993-built container vessel Bosporus to an unaffiliated third party for US7.

    Spanish flag carrier Iberia has agreed to negotiate with its unions over a five-year restructuring plan to ensure the airline's future viability, reported Reuters.

    Vinci has bid US$3.95 billion for control of Portuguese airport operator ANA, the highest offer among the four groups competing in the privatisation auction, sources familiar with the transaction said, reported Reuters.

    Singapore Airlines plans to increase passenger flights to Australia and Japan to take advantage of increased demand, reported Dow Jones Newswires.



    Etihad in final talks to buy India carrier stake
    Gulf carrier Etihad Airways, seeking to widen operations in India and other Asian markets, is in the final stages of talks to buy part of either Jet Airways or grounded rival Kingfisher Airlines , an Indian government official said, reported Reuters.



    Malaysian Airline to buy 36 ATR turboprop planes
    Malaysian Airlines System (MAS), the country's national carrier, has signed a memorandum of understanding with French-Italian aircraft maker ATR to buy 36 turboprop airplanes for US$981 million, reported Reuters.

    The Vietnamese government should delay the launch of the Cai Mep-Thi Vai port complex in the southern region to tackle the capacity surplus at seaport group 5 covering Ho Chi Minh City and southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.



    Rickmers-Linie to get two newbuildings in 2015
    Rickmers-Linie is to take delivery of two 20,000dwt newbuildings in 2015, built at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China. Both of these multi-purpose vessels will be equipped with two 450-tonne cranes and one 120-tonne crane.

    El Al Israel Airlines said a slowdown in business during November's escalation of violence between Israel and militants in Gaza would lower its fourth-quarter net profit by between US$7 million and $9 million, reported Dow Jones Newswires.

    The Portuguese government has received four binding bids for its airport operator ANA (Aeroportos de Portugal), reported Dow Jones Newswires. The government didn't provide names or bid values in a press statement.



    Air France seeks to cut 600 flight attendant jobs
    The French unit of Air France-KLM SA connfirmed plans for a voluntary redundancy plan affecting 500 to 600 flight-attendant jobs.



    Cathay November cargo traffic up 6.3%
    Cathay Pacific Airways freight traffic rose for the third consecutive month in November, up 6.3 percent year-on-year, driven by significant shipments of hi-tech consumer products out of key manufacturing centres, reported Reuters.

    Dachser acquires Iberian partner Azkar
    Effective January 15, subject to the approval of the anti-trust authorities, logistics provider Dachser is to acquire the Spanish logistics provider Azkar. Dachser has held a 10 percent stake in its Iberian logistics partner since 2008.
