Spain's Vueling accepts IAG takeover bid
The board of Spanish low-cost airline Vueling has unanimously recommended to shareholders to accept an improved takeover offer of US$12.06 per share from International Airline Group, reported Reuters. IAG, which already owns 45.



Boeing to invest $1b to expand South Carolina 787 factory
Boeing Co plans to invest at least US$1 billion to expand production at its 787 Dreamliner factory in South Carolina over the next eight years, creating at least 2,000 jobs at the final assembly plant in North Charleston, reported Reuters.



Hactl first quarter traffic up 1.6%
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Ltd's (Hactl) cargo traffic rose 1.6 percent in the first quarter from the same period a year ago and it forecast a slow economic recovery, reported Reuters.





Turkish Airlines to buy 95 Boeing planes
Turkish Airlines plans to buy up to 95 jets from US plane maker Boeing Co as Turkey's fast-growing flag carrier seeks to double its fleet to grab a bigger slice of passenger traffic to and from Europe and the Middle East, reported Dow Jones Newswires.



Shipping slump may continue till 2015 – Swire boss
The slump in shipping has now passed five years and could go on further before prospects improve around 2015, according to a leading figure in the industry.
