Delta Air Lines has decided to scrap its Memphis, Tennessee, hub in September, cutting 230 jobs and scaling back flights to make the location profitable.

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal said he's willing to use state money to start deepening the Port of Savannah's busy shipping channel without waiting for funding from Washington as long as the federal government promises to pay its share of the US$652
