Hamburg postpones westward plan
The Port of Hamburg has opted to postpone a number of infrastructure projects, including the Westerweiterung ("westward extension") of the Eurogate terminal. This 250M project will create two new berths for ultra large container carriers (ULCCs) and a new feedership berth, with 40 hectares of back-up area, allowing Eurogate to increase capacity from 4M TEU to 6M TEU a year....
