Kalmar books more business
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has reported an for 12 terminal tractors and a further seven lift trucks and one reach stacker to Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port, part of the NCSP Group in Russia. The order, which further strengthens Kalmar's relationship with NCSP, represents a significant move to modernise the operators' mobile equipment at a number of its terminals throughout Russia. The order was signed into Kalmar's second quarter intake 2014 and delivery is scheduled to be completed in October 2014....

Six more E-RTGs for Terex
Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has won a contract to supply six more E-RTGs to Haiphong Port Holding LLC in Vietnam. The cranes will be in operation from mid-2015 in Haiphong, where twelve identical cranes, ordered from TPS in September 2013, will begin operating at the end of this year. All 18 cranes are being manufactured at the TPS facility (Noell China) in Xiamen, PR China....

Bromma to appeal court judgement
As reported in last month's issue of WorldCargo News (p3), the Swedish District Court (in Vasteras) resolved that SweFrame Port Equipment Ltd has not copied the Cargotec [Bromma] spreaders and has not used any intellectual property belonging to Cargotec. Carogtec's claim for SEK27.09M (€2.95M) damages plus interest against SweFrame was turned down....

Gaussin ATT bookings
Gaussin Manugistique recently reported two new orders worth almost €9M from customers in Italy. One order was for 30 hybrid drive ATTs (automotive terminal trailers) from Consorzio Asterix, located in La Spezia. The hybrid power pack comprises a diesel motor to charge a Li-ion battery pack. Deliveries will take place between this September and January 2017, at a rate of two per month....
