The joint venture between Aer Lingus and Chicago-based United on the Washington DC-Madrid route will close later this month because the pair didn't have anti-trust immunity to co-ordinate pricing or networks, reported The Irish Times.

DP World emerged as the only bidder to submit a price quotation for developing a new container loading facility at Jawaharlal Nehru port near Mumbai as India's busiest container port seeks to expand much-needed capacity, reported The Mint.



Bollore aims to double Abidjan port capacity by 2015
French industrial conglomerate Bollore plans to spend up to $79 million by 2015 to double capacity at the container terminal it manages at Ivory Coast's main port of Abidjan, reported Reuters. the head of the group's Africa division said.



Geodis Wilson gate keeper of Panama
Geodis Wilson, the freight forwarding and heavy lift division of the Geodis Group, has been awarded a US$50 million contract by steel manufacturer Cimolai to manage the transport of 16 lock gates, each weighing more than 4,000 tonnes, for the expansion

Abu Dhabi based airline Etihad Airways is urging German peer Air Berlin, in which it holds some 30 percent, to offer joint flights with Air France , German paper Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported, citing Etihad's chief executive.
