FAA to delay closure of air traffic control towers
The Federal Aviation Administration said it would delay for two months the closure of 149 control towers at small airports to mitigate risks associated with the move and fight legal challenges to the closures, reported Dow Jones Newswires.

Security personnel at the German airports in Duesseldorf and Cologne may not go on strike again as their union and the employer association have agreed on wage increases, after walkouts had led to hundreds of flight cancellations in recent weeks,



Auckland port extension under attack

Petroliam Nasional (Petronas) will now have to pay more than US$2.94 billion to privatise its shipping arm MISC after revising its takeover offer price, reported Business Times Malaysia. Petronas yesterday raised its offer to RM5.

UPS appeals EU rejection of $6.7b TNT Express bid
United Parcel Services Inc has appealed the European Union regulator's decision to block its US$6.7 billion bid for Dutch competitor TNT Express, a UPS spokeswoman told Reuters.
