    DHL launches Malaysia-Vietnam LCL service
    DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, has launched a direct less than container load (LCL) service between Malaysia's Port Klang and Cat Lai in Vietnam, reported Vietnam News Briefs.

    Auckland Airport profit jumps 41%
    New Zealand's Auckland International Airport reported a 41 percent jump in full-year profit on the back of higher passenger numbers and aircraft movements, reported Reuters. Net profit rose US$114.



    Air New Zealand annual profit down

    China Cosco, the listed arm of the mainland's biggest shipping company, reported a 76.7 percent increase in loss in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year. China Cosco reported a first-half net loss of US$766.

    The Shanghai-based Chinese airline giant China Eastern Airlines plans to purchase 20 percent stake of China United Airlines from its parent company, reported Xinhua. The purchase will involve capital of US$13.2 million.

    British airports operator BAA opened the way for a US$2 billion sale of London's Stansted with Manchester Airports Group (MAG) an early frontrunner in a bid battle expected to draw US banks, pension funds and Asian operators.

    The head of Maersk Line, the world's biggest container shipping company and a unit of Danish group A P Moller-Maersk, said that container exports from Asia to Europe are likely to drop three percent this year.
