April 15, 2013                                                                                                                                            French Version Ocean Freight – Trans-Pacific Eastbound Trade                                         (Asia to USA and Canada)     Dear Valued Customer,   We at DHL Global Forwarding would like to update you on the anticipated May 1 increases which are the normal occurrence for the TPEB trade at this time of the year. So far not all carriers have announced a formal GRI effective May 1 for TPEB.   The ones that have not announced anything formal still intend to apply some level of increase on the new contracts which are being negotiated now and will be valid from May 1st. To what extent those increases are will be largely determined in the coming days as 2013-14 contract negotiations conclude.   As always we are working with our carrier partners to mitigate the effect of any increases while maintaining the DGF commitment to service and allocations. As we progress in our negotiations over the coming days and weeks, we will keep you informed and update you on the applicable rate increases.
