    Jepson re-elected GPA chairman
    The Board of Directors of the Georgia Ports Authority have elected Robert Jepson of Savannah to serve a second term as chairman of the board. Jepson was first appointed to the Board of Directors in 2008 and previously served as vice-chairman.

    Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Nhava Sheva Gateway Terminal, a subsidiary of Dubai-based DP World, to develop a US$100 million standalone container handling facility on a 27-hectare plot at JN Port

    DHL Global Forwarding, a provider of air, sea and road freight services in Europe and Asia, has developed a multimodal means to reduce transit time between Western China and Russia by up to 40 days compared to ocean freight at one-sixth the cost of air

    FedEx Corp said it would ground more jets after reporting a 45 percent fall in profits in the fourth quarter due to restructuring costs.



    China to spend $767b on roads
    China will allocate about US$767 billion for road projects between 2013 and 2030, the Ministry of Transport said, in the latest step by policymakers to underpin growth in the world's second-largest economy, reported Reuters.
